The towel hack 100% works for me but it's more about airing out the remaining steam which in my dishwasher does NOT all come out of a vent.

The dishwasher pod one is incredibly dependent on both the brand of pods and your dishwasher. Reading the directions and manual matters for that one. Some pods can actually survive the initial rinse and are meant to be placed outside the dispenser. My own dishwasher has a dedicated spot for pods that's not inside the soap dispenser. If you wanna learn way too much about both dishwashers and dish detergent then go watch the stack of videos put out by Technology Connections on the subject.

Dishwasher detergent needs to in both cycles, not just one. Pods prevent that, making people need to use 2, and need to buy more. Loose powder cleans better every time for SO MUCH LESS MONEY! That’s why the compartment has holes. It allows some powder to be released during the initial wash.

These tips are very useful. The whole foil ball hack, hadn't been a fan of. Though, haven't tried it myself but glad to know it's a flop! Enjoyed watching this video. Can't wait for the next one!

Instead of a towel, leave the door closed when it beeps done then come back in 10 minutes (for me it’s the second beep) and your dishes will be mostly dry.
