I just watched that and I was LIVID. I can’t imagine how she and her mom feel. I don’t work in healthcare, but I know the US has a problem when black women die 2-3x more than white women during pregnancy or childbirth. Systematic racism is disgusting and needs to stop. Hospitals needs to do better. 🥺

mind you they called MULTIPLE times ahead cuz she was supposed to be induced that day but they claimed they had no room and never called her back... THEY KNEW SHE WAS COMING AND STILL FAILED HER.

Dude I wasn’t even in active labor my water just broke, no contractions and they still took me in the ambulance and straight to labor and delivery

I was an ER nurse. I don’t run but when we had a woman actively laboring, I was running with her in a stretcher or wheelchair up to L&D like an Olympic athlete

It makes me so sick to my stomach every time I think about this story. Racism is so disgusting and I can’t believe people really are that way. It’s just downright hateful to be racist. I will never understand it. People are people. All people matter. If I was there, I would’ve stood up for her immediately. I’ve done it before I have stood up for strangers in the past, I will never just stand by and watch that happen in front of me so shame on those who stood by and watch that happen.

I saw that video and it was disgusting.. I hope she complains to the highest level and maybe even sues.. I've read somewhere that black women are statistically treated different to white or other races.. That nurse should be ashamed of herself..
