For me it’s my annoyance isn’t in a “I want every movie to be historical” way it’s just so DULL AND BORING TO LOOK AT! i want some color to look at on the imax screen.

moving heaven and earth to use as little CGI as possible even though it can be done properly looking more realistic than what they end up with and then just winging costumes and props seems so backwards... It's giving filmbro

As a costume designer, I would love to have a Christopher Nolan production budget and get to steer the costumes more historically accurate. I’m guessing they want to keep it as recognizable and relatable as possible but that’s kind of boring.

I like Christopher Nolan, but Greek mythology is about Greeks, and the Bronze Age inspired by Greek culture. For once I wish directors would just cast an actual Greek actor.

I'm just going to guess, but I'd bet ancient Greeks didn't really have the ability to dye fabric dark black. Black is a very hard color to hit right, even with modern tech.
