A good charm for banishing platter cracks is a spiral of doll sand sprinkled on the kiln shelf under each piece.

if youre worried about cracking, fore them through both firings on a "waster slab", a slab of clay that just hangs out underneath and hopefully, if cracking is going to happen, cracks instead of your tiles.

I just fired two very large charcuterie boards, very flat and used some 60 mesh sand under them to facilitate them not sticking to the shelf and potentially cracking as they shrink during the final firing. I’ve done this in the past with a good track record.

OK, I put a spell on your tiles. Sacrifice one small bud vase to the kiln Gods and they'll leave your tiles flat.

if this is a midfire to high fire kiln you risk these tiles warping if you lift them like this. you could making put more small clay feet all over to avoid any big areas that don't have any support. to prevent warping you have to baby your slabs in the wet stage cause that's when the clay particles learn to bend. no way around it. slow drying and compression is your friend. you can also use a clay with a low shrinkage rate or stick with low fire.
