I hate parents who make their children’s room into a guest room (especially if they have it customized to THEM) like just because you don’t want people staying in your bed doesn’t mean your kid wants people to sleep in theirs

Am I the only one who doesn’t understand the fact that most American families make the kids share their rooms and bed with anyone who stays? Why not just set up a little spot in the lounge room or something that’s their room and their privacy

When I was 12 my family moved into a new house and I got a black bedroom. I loved it. Sleeped amazing in there. And if you have LED lights you can change up the colours!

My sister and I HATED when our parents would make our room into the guest room when family came to visit. Like, that’s OUR room, go make the guest sleep on the couch or get a hotel room. That is your son’s space, it’s disrespectful of you to kick him out for guests.

Some of ya’ll must have had the worst childhoods. I loved when my family came to stay. My cousins and I would have living room sleepovers. My kids share their rooms when needed too and they truly enjoy getting to mix it up. Also, having family stay is so great as a kid. Dramatic people here

I’m really annoyed at all these comments like not all parents can afford a big house with bedrooms for every kid that are huge. Your kids all have their own safe place and room and can go sleep with a sibling if they know their room is used for guests once in a while. The children understand, also, all these rooms are beautiful. People who have harsh comments are too judgmental and also privileged
