“Not to be dramatic”… girl please never say that again!! This was so traumatic and you are so strong. I am so glad you are both okay 🧡 Currently 31 weeks and I think it is important for moms to know these things. Thank you for sharing 🧡

Birth trauma really does make you question having another baby & I wish more people talked about it. So proud of you mama ❤️‍🩹

i also had an assisted delivery after 2 hours of pushing but they used the vaccum! and she was also a shoulder dystocia except she was only 6lbs, doctor says I have a narrow pelvis and recommends C sections for subsequent pregnancies😭

I didn’t watch this video because I’m pregnant and don’t want to stress myself out with negative birth stories. HOWEVER!! THANK YOU for mentioning that in the beginning of the video. You don’t know how many times I go to look up something related to pregnancy and there’s so many negative videos that don’t mention that they’re negative and it just stresses me out more. So thank you!!

Omg I also insisted they take my baby off of me after my traumatic delivery! I’ve never heard anyone else talk about that. I think I instinctually knew I couldn’t hold her because I did lose consciousness shortly thereafter.

I had a shoulder dystocia in July. My girl was 9 lb 10oz. I feel the trauma mama. It’s so, so hard. I thankfully only pushed for 15 mins but was going through an induction for 4 days before she came😭

Janessa I’m so sorry 😭😭😭 you did that!! I promise it will be so much better next time! I have a similar (not as traumatic as yours but I definitely was traumatized🤣) baby experience with my first but my second was NIGHT AND DAY different! Like so so amazing! You’re amazing!

It’s terrifying! I also had a shoulder dystocia with my daughter. I’m a peds nurse and I’ve seen firsthand how devastating it can be so when it was happening to me I was a complete wreck, I don’t think I’ve ever been so panicked in my life. I was blaming myself thinking I should’ve scheduled an induction sooner, but I let her get too big and now she might not survive… I was not kind to myself. Thankfully she is healthy 💛 but I also cry every time I think about it and am scared to have another baby.

I wish doctors were more honest about risks of forceps vs earlier non emergent csections. Some babies are not meant to come through the birth canal. I am so sorry you went through this and glad you’re both okay

Both of my boys were shoulder dystocias and both births were so traumatic in different ways. So glad everything was okay! Take time to process those feelings, it took me several weeks afterward to process mine. You aren’t being dramatic!!
