That 'fresh mochi' is actually not mochi which comes from mochigome (a type of short grain rice). In my hometown, it's called bánh tằm and is made out of cassava and tapioca flour.

1st is bánh chuối hấp, 2. Chè bà ba (i’m not sure 🥹), 3. Bánh tằm, 4. Chè trôi nước. My Eng is not good to tell the ingredients but I hope this helps you. I’m glad that you like our traditional desserts 🥰

the "mochi" with coconut is actually cassava. and most of these desserts you need to add the coconut sauce or sometimes they give you a packet with a mix of sugar, salt., peanuts, and sesame seeds.

This is good but theres a slightly more elevated vietnamese desserts called Bake & Che the quality/taste is insane. The lines get long so order ahead. If you go to the one on Bolsa theres an extemely popular coffee shop called Da Vien their egg coffee is crack.
