~I fold you, twist you, bend you, stretch you. I explore the different possibilities of movement in your body, taking my time with each joint, each limb, each part that has grown accustomed to moving in a certain way. My hands press, pull, rotate, rock and lengthen. I work into the places where movement feels restricted, gently separating what has become stuck together, loosening what has grown dense, softening what has learned to stay firm. I bend your legs, turn your hips, roll your shoulders, stretch your arms, letting one movement lead into another. Sometimes I hold you in a stretch. Sometimes I move you back and forth, letting the tissues respond to the rhythm. Sometimes I apply my weight slowly and deeply, giving the body time to yield beneath my hands. Little by little, the familiar patterns begin to loosen. The body becomes less fixed, more available to movement. Space opens between one part and another. You begin to feel the connections running through you, the way a movement in your hip travels into your spine, your ribs, your shoulders. This is the dry part of the massage. Before the oil, before the long gliding strokes, I explore the body through pressure, movement and touch. I work with your body as it is, discovering where it bends, where it resists, where it can go a little further. I fold, unfold, twist, stretch and release. I keep exploring until the body begins to move with a little more freedom, ready for the hands to glide deeper. Follow me for the full video
