To add to this I have had a radiator crack and pretty much explode before the needle even hit the red. Take a rising coolant needle level seriously

I've officially had my car strand me 4 times last winter (5-10 deg weather) good news.. I was able to limp it home bc of how cold it was

Made what would usually be a 1 1/2 hr drive with a cracked radiator pulling over every 10 mins and putting more coolant in it

all I'll say is if ur car says the engine temp is roo high damage to the engine is not as bad as the other thing that could happen

My car overheats occasionally… it’s a d16y8 so I know it’s a head gasket leak. I just top it off and it stays fine. Do I plan to fix it yes of course I do. I’m just getting parts together before I tear it apart

in a pinch you can hual ass when it hits red put er in neutral coast untill it cools back down then fire It back up gain some speed and rinse n repeat till you arrive where u can fix the problem

my buddy drove it 30 miles while overheating then sprayed cold water on it to "cool it down" when he got home. Then had the nerve to ask me if I could find a new engine for a daewoo...

Drove my old Honda 30 miles on redline hot, dont recommend, my coolant res exploded but I got another for 5 bucks at a pull apart. Car was fine. Now my TRUCK. Blew a head gasket after 2 min of overheating idle
