@spcy_sto.rosario_2025: 𝐒𝐇𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐄 𝐈𝐍𝐀 𝐏𝐎𝐎𝐍 𝐁𝐀𝐓𝐎 𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐇 | 📍𝑩𝒐𝒕𝒐𝒍𝒂𝒏, 𝒁𝒂𝒎𝒃𝒂𝒍𝒆𝒔 Ina Poon Bato is the patroness of Botolan, Zambales, and is venerated as a syncretized image of the Blessed Virgin Mary that is said to have appeared on a rock. The name means "Mother of the Lord Rock" and she is also known as "Apo Apang" or "Little Queen". The feast of Ina Poon Bato is celebrated every late January.   Origin:  Local Aeta people discovered a statue on a large rock centuries ago and began worshipping it.  Christianization:  When Augustinian Recollect missionaries arrived in 1607, they recognized the image and associated it with the Virgin Mary, a process that helped in the conversion of the locals.  Miraculous events:  The original image was found to be intact after the 1991 Mount Pinatubo eruption, buried in lahar. The image was blessed by Pope John Paul II in 1985.  Shrines and replica:  After the eruption, the original image and its shrine were moved to a resettlement area. A replica, commissioned in 1976, also exists and is housed in a separate Catholic chapel.  Feast day:  The feast is celebrated annually in late January, with many devotees flocking to the shrines in Zambales.  𝙈𝙖𝙝𝙖𝙡 𝙣𝙖 𝙄𝙣𝙖 𝙋𝙤𝙤𝙣 𝘽𝙖𝙩𝙤, 𝘐𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘪𝘯 𝘔𝘰 𝘬𝘢𝘮𝘪.. #PastoralPlanning #SPCY #fyp
