@mytvcebu: WATCH: Officials of Barangay Mabolo in Cebu City on November 15, 2025 formally honored 24-year-old Joshua Sandal for his remarkable courage and life-saving efforts during the onslaught of Typhoon Tino in Liloan. Sandal received a plaque of recognition, along with a scholarship grant and a monthly allowance from the barangay. He has also been hired as a member of the Safeguard Mabolo Response Team (SMART), where he will earn a monthly salary of at least ₱12,000. During the typhoon, Sandal risked his life to rescue at least 12 individuals trapped in two-story-high floodwaters, navigating debris-filled currents with only an electrical wire for support.
