To everyone saying he has the wrong audience… no, he doesn’t. This is how a classical-music audience behaves. It’s a matter of courtesy and etiquette. The audience listens attentively, and only when the pianist finishes does he, with a gesture or a bow, signal when the audience should start applauding. That’s called decorum and respect for the artist. This isn’t a rap concert. It’s sad how many people are uneducated about this.
