Our dodgy agents wouldn’t take the property off the market even after our offer was accepted, insisting they needed the mortgage offer first, once it was given they took it off. Then when we told them we had the surveyors booked, they suddenly said, “Oh, you should have told us, we wouldn’t have issued the memorandum of sale or taken it off the market yet.” I’m sorry, but who on earth pays nearly £1,000 for a Level 3 survey on a property that isn’t even secured for them? Nobody books a survey before the offer is accepted and the property is taken off the market. Nobody’s got money to throw around like that!

Property Survey as soon as possible especially if old property I had to withdraw 8 weeks in due to survey results lost survey money and solicitor deposit 🥵

should you not do your mortage offer after the survey incase you find issues and then may get a discount due to this, so your purchase price will change
