There needs to be a louder conversation. Only one security guard helped get her in a wheelchair. Other than that, NOT ONE staff member in that ED helped! We need to talk about how the entire staff has to be held accountable.

when i was in labor there was a lady in her wheelchair holding her weight up with her arms baby decending head was coming out. Hospital wanted paperwork first i couldn't believe it.(Caucasian)

This happened to me also! I was so scared and a black nurse came in and told them “I am moving her to delivery, she is pushing!” Everyone else ignored me.. even a random doctor was like “just push, what’s the issue” thankfully my OB came into the room. I literally held my push. It’s not okay

my birthing experience was nothing like this. i went straight to L&D- and it was a slow labor. i wasn’t in pain like this just yet. and it’s a god damn shame. i’m so sorry.
