Ticket validation is wrong and should be removed. Just make each ticket valid for 90 minutes. Problem solved.

The app looks like this mind you. If you somehow see this and fail to realize you should activate the ticket before getting on the transport you honestly deserve the fine

We didn’t know we had to validate our tickets :( 2000kr fine for both of us, $173 Canadian. Tough lesson!

What do you mean? When you go to buy the ticket it literally says Activation Type & Start of validity. And you can choose yourself. Either later manually, immediately after purchase or at a specific time and there's also timer. Gotta search these kind of things before you travel to place you've never been to before. Ofc it's gonna be different everywhere. 🙂

The same is often the case in Germany. First of all: YOU NEED A TICKET, ITS NOT FREE! Second off all: Sometimes you also have to validate it

Yes . Just paid the fine lately even when i was not inside the metro but i was standing at the station 😅 Normally i always buy ticket by SMS in IDOS app , unfortunately i bought it too late apparently. Whenever you go down to the area of metro , you gotta have ticket already validated , otherwise even when you are not in the metro you got fined . Lesson learned 😅

I used Pid Litačka and I always showed the QR code to the inspector. No previous validation was required! ❤️only the QR
