This is almost exactly the same way my mom and I make it..we use sweet Italian sasusage instead and definitely no chestnuts.My grandmother and greet grandmother same recipe.

I make this every year and use left overs as a breakfast casserole. Stuffing as crust , mix eggs , milk, cheese , salt / pepper (crumbled cooked bacon if you want) mix well pour over stuffing , bake 375 for about 30-35 minutes.

Love keeping with tradition!🥰 My mom would dry out the bread in a big wooden bowl for a few days. She would only use sage until it was “sagey”. Love your videos! Have a wonderful thanksgiving!
