@animalwelfareguy: Call came in for an aggressive tan pit chasing people. She ran up on me as soon as I was within ear shot. I wasn’t able to catch her at that time because she hopped back over the fence. After speaking to the alleged owner, she stated that the dog wasn’t hers but that it hops into her yard to play with her dogs. The resident stated she would be comfortable with trapping the dog for me because it currently had too much room to run around. The dog did fight a lot on the pole but was totally different after I loaded her up onto the truck. Once at the shelter I noticed there was a circumferential scar on her neck. I believe the scar is from a previously embedded collar and she had suffered extreme neglect/abuse. It’s so sad to see dogs failed by people. #animalwelfare #animalrescue #dog

haven't seen anyone mention this but it's very respectable that you do seem to try to handle them as gently as you can. animal control/"dog catchers" in movies and TV always look scary and mean

awh you can tell it’s just fear. they look so sweet and calm when their in the cage. i hate how abusive owners and abandonment can do this.

She was confused and traumatic for previous owners. I don’t think she trusts human and maybe that’s why she approaches them aggressively bc of her past 😢
