@billmaeda: Arnold - age 56, October 25, 2025, 10:16 am I was 13 when I first saw Arnold Schwarzenegger in “Conan The Barbarian”. There’s a scene where he kills a guy iand then hits a front double biceps and I was just blown away. I asked my Dad how Conan got his muscles so huge and he told me it came from lifting weights and bodybuilding. Bruce Lee taught me push ups and Jeet Kun Do when I was 10, but now I wanted MUSCLES! I got Arnold’s “Encyclopedia Of Modern Bodybuilding” and wore the cover right off the book. I read every word and stared at every picture as I trained for years trying to look like him. 15 years later I worked as a stunt man on the set of “Batman & Robin” but in the two weeks I was on set, no one could get near him because he was painted blue and surrounded by liquid nitrogen for the role of “Mr.Freeze”. To me, Arnold will always be the best bodybuilder ever, and his example had a profound effect on my life. I was as nervous as a kid, but when I finally got to shake the man’s hand, I said ”Thank you.” to him for the decades he’s been inspiring me. Now all I need is a moment with @sylvesterstallone and I can die happy. Aloha
