If those talks were real, he didn’t compete with the UFC because he could not pass their drug test. He was on gear when he’s wrestling. Bellator is not as strict.

Now they told Brock Lesnar he had to work his way up as well, but he only did one fight in Japan before they brought him on board whereas for Lashley he had to fight multiple times. The one I think really turned them off from bringing him on is when he nearly got defeated and struggled against Jason Guida
