Airbnbs are crazy expensive now. I love hotels for room service, extra towels, and not having to clean like Cinderella before I leave. Some Airbnb hosts can be so unreliable at check-in, it’s stressful.

It's about establishing expectations. When I go to a hotel, I know what I'm getting into. An AirBnB / VRBO gives you more choice in accomodations but leaves more to chance IMO. Cost, specific cleaning rules, etc. also turn me away from AirBnB and VRBO.
