I went riding my motorcycle a few months ago and it was weird to see so many closed shops were we used to stop for a drink or bite 10 years ago. The countryside is emptying out.

I live in Chiba, most of the northern half of the prefecture is like this as well. Only the larger cities like Kashiwa and Matsudo seem to be avoiding the stagnation
