it is easier to rent on your own as a foreigner in China too. China don't discriminate as long as you can pay. in Japan, they don't rent out to foreigners.

Other differences: Japan is in the top 50 for freedom of speech, China is in the bottom 5. Japan has free elections and freedom of religion, China doesn't. Japan doesn't censor the entire Internet, China does. No wonder people would rather live in Japan.

日本は本当に教員や保育士への待遇が悪いよね。給料も低いし激務だし。国が改善させないと本当に深刻な教員不足になっちゃうと思う。

I believe an important reason why it’s easier to find a teaching job in China is because there are way more schools and students in China. It’s simply a much bigger market.
