My internal med just ordered low dose prempro. My chol elevation directly related to menapause. I am 63. Wt normal but increase in middle Trigly 65. Cho 330 ldl 198 HDL 84 Lipo a neg. Lipo b 165. Bp fine CAC zero. I still have fear of HRT. Rn for 40 yrs and worked ICU, cath lab and heart surgery. So many variable and not all about chol. Every single person on statins have HDL LOW. Never understood why HDL NOT important once on statins. Anyway started low dose prempro today but dang ingrained in my brain!
