@bil:People keep saying, “Kayo bumoto d’yan tapos kayo rin nagra-rally ngayon,” as if the Iglesia Ni Cristo is the only group that has ever supported the wrong leader. But let’s be honest—every Filipino, every community, every religion, and every sector has made mistakes in voting. Nobody in this country can claim they have always chosen the perfect candidate. That’s the reality of democracy: we all make decisions based on promises, platforms, and hopes. Sometimes politicians live up to them, and sometimes they fail us. So why is the blame always thrown at the INC? Why act as if only INC members choose wrongly, when the entire nation has made mistakes in elections? It is unfair and unreasonable to put the weight of a country’s failures on one religious group. The INC does not create the wrongdoing of politicians. The Church does not control their actions once they are in power. Supporting a candidate does not mean supporting every wrong decision that candidate makes later on.
