I understand comedy and banter is important for a good relationship, but on date 1 expectations tho? because he could be shy,he could need some time to open up. You don't owe him a 2nd date, but maybe FaceTime or more texting to determine before the date.

When you are ready, try having a 2-3 date minimum . I had to start doing that because sincerely NO man was checking off the boxes in the first date. None. Sometimes nerves plays a factor who knows. If it makes sense, do two dates. After date number 2, if it’s not there ? Forget it.

People who keep say there is nothing is wrong but they dont feel the “chemistry” after a first date are going to either end up with the wrong person or be single forever. A first date should be about getting to know someone to see if there is compatibility and consistency.
