Why does this happen? Because you lose lymphatic efficiency in the lymphatic duct where it meets the subclavian vein on the affected side of the body. This causes a local rise in cortisol, this cortisol reduces osteoblast activity, your bones just boil off into the soft tissue. To fully resolve this you would need to clear out any dense/mineralized tissue at the subclavian vein at the medial superior clavicle and then investigate how the efficient the flow is down the arm especially flow through the elbow any dense mineralized tissue must be removed with deep friction, then working up the forearm and into the thumb joint. Once lymphatic efficiency is restored osteoblast function will resume and the “arthritis” will dissipate.

I had the surgery to remove the trapezium bone and unfortunately 3 years later all my pain and symptoms are back. It was never completely gone to begin with, but was a little better right after surgery/PT. Now I can’t button a shirt without a jolt going up my thumb/hand!!!!!
