It isn’t just temperament. I as middle child daughter vs my older brother…he was totally unaware of the things my mother did to me. He doesn’t believe it to this day because she did not treat the golden boy that way.

No two people are raised the same, older kids have more responsibility etc, parents weren’t as good at parenting or maybe they got lazy or tired, some kids are the scape goat, some kids are naturally more talented so they get favoured or they’re more like the parent so they get favoured, many things lol but what you mentioned is a small part but not the reason..
