@christophernolen1: I came out of the house a little late this morning and Gus was waiting on the front steps. He was followed quickly by one after another of the regular grey squirrels coming up for a peanut or almond. Before I got to far I realized most of the feeding was going to take place right here today. I noticed even the littlest baby squirrel seemed confident enough to follow the others. He got fairly close to me and looked directly at me for a second but not my directly in my eyes. He came up a got some peanut chunks in a pile risking taking the place another squirrel might have claimed for himself. He did get chased once but recovered quickly and really seems to be claiming his place in the clan. 🥰
