So NF is a Christian artist. But he also struggles with mental health and the trauma that he’s endured since childhood. Through throughout each of his albums, we see him grow and struggle. And if you guys remember in, hope we see him kind of clear out the cobwebs, and finally addressed his trauma, and the transformation from where he was in the beginning to hope. And if you’ve heard the line in one of his songs, “I’m looking for the map to Hope have you seen it?” and then in the music video hope he has the map. But now he’s suffered another destabilizing trauma by losing his grandmother who was his anchor. So now we see him regressing and he is struggling once again with his mental health and where he goes from here. Asking God for direction, asking God if He was the one to in a way de stabilize him. When he asks God if he was the one to start the fire that was NF’s way of saying I know you’re not done with me, but I need to know where you want me to go from here.
