@brettstaggs: I’m currently running in the @Brooks Running Ghost Max, but want to add another shoes to the rotation as a daily trainer. I love the look of the @Nike Vomeros and the @Addidas obviously. But I’ve heard good things about the @ASICS options and the @New Balance options. What am I missing? #Running #runningshoes #marathon #run #runner
Brooks Glycerin Max are the most comfortable shoes I’ve used. Knee pain from impact went away entirely.

Go to a store, but avoid Nikes, NB and adidas as big guy myself. Brooks changed everything for me.

Started at 350 lbs, currently 245, ASICS Superblast 2 or Saucony Hurricane 24/25 have been great.

Go to a RUNNING STORE and get your gait and foot shape analyzed to figure out what type of shoe is good for you on top of the weight concerns. I assume how you walk / distribute your weight will especially impact what kind of shoes work when you are heavier

As a former Army Medic get your feet mapped so you know your arch. Also depending on how much you are running a week look to replace the shoes every 2 to 3 months.

Go to a running store, and tell them what shoes your considering. They will help you the best, if you don’t tell them what shoe you want 😂 they will give you the “old man walker 3000s”

I wouldn’t reccomend the adidas evos for an overweight runner. They lack stability. The ASICS novablast 5 could be good, or ASICS superblast 2. Brooks Glycerin Max could be good too. I would try those on before tho

Get fitted. Being a larger runner I go for slightly firmer shoes so I get more life out of them. NB 1080s are great shoes but are rather soft and I wore them out quick compared to my hoka Clifton’s

Hi!! as someone who started running it over 200 pounds, I would go to a local running store like a fleet feet, and have them scan your feet and get your gait analyzed! It has helped me so much on my running journey!

Brooks glycerin when I was nearing 200 pounds any other shoes did not have enough cushioning and I’d instantly get shin pain and Achilles pain. I switched and never going back to other shoes

Go get fitted at a running store. What works for me won’t work for you. They can fit you to your gait! Don’t trust anyone that tells you any different
