my mom used to celebrate getting an orange for christmas because such a thing was so rare and unheard of and they’d split one orange in four. My friends dad got jail time for tying to jump the border. We were locked in, our communism turned into a dictatorship. I was luckily born after communism ended, but theres a reason ours ended the way it did that Christmas
