Wait those are valuable? I just set up my husband's grandmother's tinsel tree. We inherited it about 5 years ago. It was being thrown out but I thought it was so pretty. So I kept it.

I don’t think it was safe to put wired lights on it. That’s why the color wheel was used. It’s beautiful

The color wheel is the main part of the value. They are rarely found with the tree. In the old days they were decorated in all the same color “Shine Brite” ball ornaments. No lights.

I’m glad you got a silver tinsel tree. They are nice. You cannot put lights on them. Do not put lights on them. The fairy lights will work, but nothing that heats up even at all.

Did you not read the comments?! Do not put lights on that tree unless you want you & your kid to potentially get electrocuted. The tinsel conducts electricity.

us kids played with our mammaw's color wheel every Christmas eve. She plugged it in even years after the silver tree was no more. It was part of Christmas. 💗

I have my grandmother’s tinsel tree. She left the box and all to my mom, and before she passed, she let me have it. It is so precious to me. I set it up in my room and pretty much decorate it with gold and silver vintage ornaments. ♥️🎄♥️

My grandparents had a tinsel tree & color wheel...I was born in 1955, and have memories of it as a 3 yr old...They both passed in the 80's...Don't know what happened to it...Thank you for the memories tho🤭
