Y’all, clipping nails is NOT the same as declawing, it is not cruel. It’s actually necessary a lot of the time to trim them. I assumed this was common knowledge.

Its insane that ppl in this comment section dont know that 1. trimming nails is not same as declawing and 2. Nail trims are necessary grooming for cats that can prevent future discomfort and injury its no different from why dogs nail trims are necessary

i worked in a vet hospital for 4 years, the amount of times i had to put a cat in a kitty burrito with a towel in order to trim their nails was ridiculous😂

We use the liquid cat treats to distract ours, and that’s the only time he gets those treats. We Pavlov’d him and he gets excited when he hears the clippers now.
