I wrote a paper on these fellas for school! Millipedes walk in a metacronal gait, They move their legs in a smooth wave from front to back. The movement is coordinated by nerves called central pattern generators, which are found in something called the ganglion that run along their bodies- which fun fact by the way, they have pairs of ganglion in each segment of the body that act as mini "brains" controlling the movement of their respective segments legs and processing sensory information. :D
