So to fix that nut you needa hold the bolt AND the nut then twist one of em so typically I just use 2 crescent wrenches

3/16 rivets get a 3/16 hole they fit snug and will pull tight

As far as I remember the rivet gun needs a air compressor and you don't have to drill holes first the rivet gun will do it itself

That "hood bar" is 100 times better/safer than struts. Those things always go bad.

I would suggest you get a smaller drill bit to make a better hole on top of the ones you made for the rivet to fit more secured. Or you could also get a slightly bigger rivet so you wouldn’t have to make another hole.

get a spanner to hold the bolt on the top connected to the strut and get a socket wrench and tighten the nut with the socket and hold the top bolt with the spanner
