I think one of the hardest parts is finding those unique jobs that aren't academia or corporate. I just got a masters in hydrology and am currently trying to brainstorm some other jobs to look for

My mom worked 10 years for the forest service before deciding that she hated working for the government and went to massage school. Such a huge inspiration for me and growing up knowing I can always change what I’m doing if I want to!

i work at a climbing gym (doing marketing on a corporate team) after 4 years of doing marketing/comms at corporate jobs/art galleries and it’s been the biggest and best vibe shift and forced to rethink work/life and that i’d love to be in even less of a corporate job tbh

Thank you for this! I absolutely relate after starting to work at Trader Joe’s this year and feeling like I should be working a “better” “more adult” job but in actuality I’m really loving TJs!

I graduated and also worked in a lab and I got a job at Natural Grocers! Our wellness manager was amazing and I starting working in the produce department and was happy and fulfilled. I did end up going to grad school three years later but it was when I wanted to, not because I felt like I had to! Our lives are not all about jobs and grad school, sometimes it’s just finding something you enjoy!
