@lukeartie: I think it’s fair to say, today has been an absolutely incredible day for diving and one I will not forget. Seeing a whale shark was not on the bingo cards - I was hoping to see Mobula Rays (which I also did see - a separate post for them) but decided to jump back in the water for a 3rd dive and got to see this beautiful giant! We found him around 22-25 meters around 8 Mile Rock, Koh Lipe and he spent around 10/15 minutes with us, circling around and showing off. Safe to say I was so excited that I used air a lot more quickly than usual 😅 There were 4 of us divers, 1 incredible whale shark and many schools of fish. It’s a dream to see one of these beasts completely naturally, wild, and ethically with no feeding or changing of behaviour and no hoards of snorkelers surrounding them as they are manually lured towards the surface (maybe that’s a story for another time). My lucky day 🍀 🦈 #waleshark #diving #kohlipe #25metersunder #wondersofthesea
