Cope however your heart tells you. There is no incorrect way to grieve what you once had.

i think doing art and holding Kanes memory everyday is something you CAN do. it’s hard i know but your heart and mind need to do this. it’s part of grief , grief is something we are givin after we lose someone we loved so much. it’s actual the gift that’s left. ( if u look at it this way). to still remember. i love you jaden 💋

I needed a full time job and to run myself till failure I take 4 showers till my skin feels like porcelain I know it’s weird I guess but when my boyfriend passed I lost all connection to reality because he was mine I lost all connection to a “future” so I started working and thinking of the now and not the future

I drew all over the apartment we had lived in together. I made tons of art. I made music. I finished things he didn’t finish. I finished things I told him I’d finish

The little things! It’s hard to smile at them at first but keep pushing. Do things you two enjoyed and see it as something you do to keep him close! It never goes away nor does it get easier but you learn to appreciate and smile rather than be upset. 🤍

Sending you lots of love, I lost my husband last year and the grief has been unbearable. On days I miss him the most I think of what we used to do together and go ahead and do it. Doesn’t work all the time but it makes me feel like he’s still with me. Take all the time you need for yourself 🤍

I think it helps to just let yourself feel, feel everything you need to for as long as you need. Don’t let his memory be tainted by the grief, let the thought of him be a happy one. Allow yourself to live to the fullest and be happy because I don’t think he’d want anything else.

I didn’t have time to grieve, went to school the next day and distracted myself with work and life stuff and now i don’t feel anything tbh. It really sucks

i don't have advice for this specifically but art is a wonderful tool, in school when i took an art class it was essentially my sanctuary. i would listen to music and paint no matter if it looked good, adding small details that meant so much to me helped me express how i felt without it having to be verbal.

I’m sorry for your loss. Someone in the comments said it’s something you never really get over, you just continue on and I feel as though that may be true. My great grandpa lost my great grandma a little over a year ago and you can tell his other half is missing. Despite this though he goes on and continues to take care of this beautiful life him and her created together. He takes care of their kitties and their dog and their beautiful home and their family and I think that’s beautiful. My condolences to you, and your art is lovely

Talk, talk, talk, I don’t know what you believe in but I promise you that they are listening. My ex passed tragically 3 months after our split and it’s been a year now and he still sends me signs that are in shape of hearts.💕🫶

Hi. 2011..10/19/2011. Years. Best advise I ever was given was “it’s doesn’t get better, you learn to live with it.” Harsh in the raw moment as he had only been gone days. But truth. Reach out whenever dude. I’m in an incredible relationship now, with the most amazing man. It does diminish my love for my late boyfriend. Especially because my boyfriend celebrates and acknowledges the special place late bf held in my life. Shit sucks. But one fucking second at a time.

I was 15 when I lost my boyfriend and honestly I’m still healing a coping I’m about to be 20 I’m in a new relationship and I still tend to feel guilt and sadness. Sometimes it can still feel like it consumes me. I often struggle with replaying the moment in my head. I don’t think it get easier I do think it just doesn’t feel as intense anymore.

i think the way ive dealth with it is by not dealing with it, my mind cannot accept that hes hone, every day i wake up expecting a text. its impossible not think about him and id never not want to, but sometimes i just believe he faked it all and hes happy on some tropical island somewhere and goes by a different name, i feel like the body i held wasnt his. idk if this helps at all?
