@supergainsbros: Is Zelda II: The Adventure of Link underrated? Released on the NES back in 1987, Zelda II did something no other game in the series has ever tried to repeat. It blended side-scrolling combat, RPG leveling, overworld exploration, and some of the toughest dungeons Nintendo ever made. Fans were confused by how different it was, and for years it became “the black sheep” of the franchise. But going back today, the game is ambitious, challenging, and filled with ideas that were way ahead of their time. Magic, experience points, towns, NPC dialogue, learning sword moves — Zelda II introduced a ton of mechanics the series would later build on. It’s not perfect, but it’s bold. And honestly? It pales VIOLENTLY in face of the first one. Actually in face of all other games in the series. Its easily the worst game in the series. Easily.

Love the game, but it didn’t feel quite like a Zelda game back then when I first played it. I missed the atmosphere of the first game, didn’t liked the way Link was animated, and the music was off. Also no Ganon 🤷🏻‍♂️
