I go speed limit, maybe 5 above. I laugh when I see people bobbing and weaving and tailgating through the freeway just to get to their destination 15 seconds faster

Moving through traffic is what saves time. It feels great looking in your rear view mirror at the 200 vehicles you just swam through, then look forward again and see a hole to an empty lane through traffic

i figured this one day after driving for like 25+minutes going full blast and was reduced by ETA by 2 minutes. my normal ETA was 40 minutes. Did the calculation at home & was livid but it does feel good to go faster

caveat is that this should assume traffic conditions are kept constant throughout the duration of travel. speeding up safely can help avoid traffic congestion on a limited roadway which ultimately leads to increase in total travel time.
