Fred destroyed Steeplechase Park, a part of Coney Island. His father wasn't that great of a business man. If things didn't go his way he destroyed it just like his son. Fred was worse than his son. His "success" was debatable.

Yeah, that’s what he reported but I mean that’s probably not actually the truth. Just like he over stated the value of his real estate. He probably overstated his losses a lot as well because when you do that, you pay less taxes. And it looks like he learned that early on and just inflated it every year from there on.

Another interesting thing along these lines, he did become president. I’m guessing to in part, impress his dad. However, his legacy will be most likely the worst president in modern history if not all history. It illustrates his loudest failure. The irony.
