if the bolts were torqued properly then the bolts wouldnt have broke. zero need for thread locker.

in 20 years ive never used lock locktite on a balancer bolt. ive never had an issue

just to let you know this is a common problem in the 19 and up i have seen it happen more than 5 times and locktight has nothing to do with it

Or follow the OEM instructions for installation. Cummins and Ram don’t use anything on those bolts.

The factory does not use locktite any where on that engine. Seems like a professional mechanic would know this. Every single bolt on that engine has a torque spec.

I agree with comments loctite isn’t the problematic. If it was torque correctly probably not a loctite issue. More likely improper torque setting

Guarantee when they did the flex plate they turned the motor over by the harmonic balancer bolts and either stretched them or they lossened them

On a Cummins you don’t put loctite on the bolts. You’re supposed to put oil on the threads and torque it to spec!
