@reelgoldrundown: Today would have been Rock Hudson’s 100th Birthday. Hudson left a huge legacy and impact on Hollywood and American culture through his status as a leading man, his classic filmography, and his AIDS diagnosis #rockhudson #fyp #actor #oldhollywood #gay
In the summer of 1973, I saw him on stage in I DO, I DO, with Carol Burnett, at the old Huntington Hartford Theatre in Hollywood. In 1979, I saw him [at 9 performances] in the national tour of ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY, costarring with Imogene Coca and Judy Kaye. He was great in both shows—very well cast!

His illness and death was a catalyst for the creation of AmFar by his beloved friend Elizabeth Taylor. ❤️

McMillan and Wife and later McMillan was a regular in my house. Loved the whole staff. Nancy Walker before she was Rhoda’s mom

In the late 60s when I was in elementary school there was a rumor that Rock married Jim Nabors! 😳

You'll have to hear me out. One of the things I did not like about the AIDS crisis is then knowing about the sex life of celebrities. Didn't want to know, didn't care to know, wasn't terribly curious. Then it was: who is gay and who is not. It became oh so ugly. Very painful time. Not a big fan of Rock Hudson, but his death was very sad.
