I have ADHD and depression/anxiety but have always felt more is going on, and I think BPD is likely in my case. Should i start exploring this with a counselor or meet with a psychologist?

Mine is flairing as I’m living with my abusive , narcissistic mother @60 torts old. I’m wrecked . I crash out weekly. My step father is actively dying in a nursing home. I was physically emotionally abused as a child & adult! no coping skills were ever taught

Is it possible that it started with trauma in childhood but then severe adult trauma brings out the symptoms of BPD or it makes it worse. I feel like I had BPD as a child but I had to push my emotions down to stay safe and then being abused as an adult pushed it over the edge. Hope that made sense.
