This is why I couldn’t be a teacher. Reading aloud makes me cry for normal books, but for emotional books I’m full on sobbing when I read to my kids 😆

i will ALWAYS regret meeting kate dicamillo and having her sign a copy of the tale of despereaux rather than a copy of the miraculous journey of edward tulane simply because it was “more popular.” still disappointed in little 8 year old me for that☹️

I always read the BFG with my firsties and they LOSE THEIR MINDS when it says he was the author. We always follow up with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to see if they notice it’s “the BFG” as the author

My second grade teacher read this to us and I made my mom buy me a copy and it is the best book i have ever read. I made my college roommate just listen to be as I read the last page to her last year and I was uncontrollably sobbing
