A family tradition that my family does that is super doable is that my parents get me and my sister a new ornament that we open up on Christmas Eve and we put it on the tree before we go to bed. It’s cool to see all the ornaments we got through the years.

this year im starting an Autie movie and cocoa day. im 40, childless by choice, and single. My Nieces and nephew are my life. I told my siblings that staring this year i want to have an auntie evening and they can get a night to go on date or Christmas shop whatever. I'm so excited!

We pick a night, pile in the car in our jammies with hot coco and snacks, and just drive around looking at Christmas lights. I usually ask around ahead of time for neighborhoods that really do it up. They have drive thru light shows but those can get pricey so that's a fun alternative that my daughter still loves.

So cute! Take photos of the kids with their mug every year, and in a few years get those photos printed on mugs for you and your husband to use at Christmas as well!

we do pajamas, a movie, hot cocoa and popcorn in a gift box, for their Christmas eve gift and then we have a little pajama movie party before bed. ❤️

The elves decorate our house. Every year on 11/30, we put our son to bed and decorate the entire house so when he comes downstairs on 12/1, Christmas has arrived. We do everything, lights, tree, you name it. I know Jackson and Wyatt are too old, but maybe you four can do this for the two little ones each year.

Since i was little my grandma and I made candies and cookie trays that she use to do with her mom and grandma. I still continue on the tradition with my son even though she never got to meet him 🥺

For Christmas morning my mum has been doing Christmas crates where it's filled up with junk food and drinks and some small Christmas presents in it as well then the bigger presents after wards

Love this! Every year we do a “reindeer games” party (there are lots of ideas if you look this up” with prizes that I wrap crazy (think a one dollar bill in a giant box” or cans of soda in a gift bag making it really heavy. The gifts could be as expensive as you want! Small prizes for everyone for participating so no one feels upset!

My kids get a Christmas book Christmas PJs, and an ornament that is personalized to them every year and then when they graduate they take their ornaments with them to decorate their own tree

my favorite family tradition is santa mouse ornaments!!! my mom read us the story of santa mouse and then on Christmas morning we look for our special new ornament that has yellow (cheese) ribbon tied in a bow!

This is a super cute idea! Some of my favourites from growing up: I had a reusable advent calendar that I’d picked out myself as a young kid, and my mom would fill with my favourite treats. We always decorated the tree on the same day (Nov 12th) and made it a whole fun event with Christmas music, Santa hats, yummy food, you name it. We always do a gingerbread house competition. In my town there’s this botanical garden with amazing Christmas lights, so we’d do that every year as well. On Christmas Eve we would change into our new pyjamas (we’d get a new pair every year) and then watch It’s a Wonderful Life. Such lovely fond memories of those traditions 🥲

We celebrated st Nick day beginning of December. You leave your shoes out and it gets filled with little treats. In my family now we just do a treat a book and a pair of Xmas pjs that way they have them most of December

I don’t celebrate Christmas due to religious reasons so my parents adjusted so we can still have the experience of a winter holiday with dinner and gifts so we celebrate New Year’s Eve instead. For fireworks, when I was little we would get out a long sheet of bubble wrap/saved bubble wrap from packages and at midnight we’d step on the bubble wrap and jump because it would pop and sound like fireworks, we still do it every year, my dad and brother aren’t as into it anymore but my mom and I still love rolling out the bubble wrap on our living room floor at like 11:45. Every year we open presents starting like 11:30(I never wait tho, I start by 11 😂), then bubble wrap, then we just relax and watch the Times Square show

we always got pjs on christmas eve so we could wear new pjs to bed, i do think this was a genius play on my moms part bc every Christmas morning photo we have me and my brother are in nice clean fresh pjs LOL and not whatever random thing we threw on
