the method was harsh, but likely they didn't have a permit and this could become a much bigger public health issue if people are sickened by food made under no health regulations. looks bad, but there's definitely a reason. I don't agree with the bleach being poured throughout everything, but b. cereus, botulism, and Hep A, along with your run-of-the-mill norovirus are no joke for the public.

they were selling unsafe food with meat being stored raw outside and not refrigerated, and storing cooked meat at 80 degrees (required minimum is 135). Also one of a string of violations thay they refused to fix. its the policy and duty of the inspector to denature or destroy/trash any food that is unsafe that they think the vendor will try to serve. and no she is not going to jail

Following the rules is important, but this kind of behavior is absolutely unacceptable. No one should contaminate food or put the public at risk. We expect safe, respectful, and lawful conduct from every health professional.

This is standard practice when food is NOT handled and prepared properly. They don't have a license and have been warned. Bravo to her for protecting the community 👏

Um it’s because he locked the meat (that was being kept at 82 degrees) in the truck so she couldn’t destroy it before he could get people sick with it!!!!!
