Aqseleu Seidimbek was the author and promoter of many songs. I would like to perform the song Saryarka. The lyrics of this song were written by the poet Yesimbek Aituly. Yesimbek Aituly created many wonderful song lyrics. People say that his works are so perfect that “not even a hair could fit between the lines,” meaning that they are complete and flawless. He wrote such remarkable songs as Saryarka, Daurenai, and Agalarai. When Aqseleu Seidimbek passed away, the distinguished Kazakh writer Abish Kekilbayev said these words in his farewell speech: “Whenever we spoke of greatness among the Kazakhs, we would mention Aqseleu. If someone asked what a true seri should be like, we would point to Aqseleu. If someone asked what a true sal should be like, we would point to Aqseleu. Aqseleu alone embodied all of these qualities. And now we have lost such a man.” This song belongs to that esteemed Aqseleu Seidimbek. I should also mention that Aqseleu Seidimbek possessed one of the richest private libraries in Kazakhstan. Only the library of Qadir Myrza Ali was considered comparable. Among Aqseleu's books were extremely rare and valuable volumes. Some of them had once been read and underlined by Abai himself. Others had later come into the hands of Mukhtar Auezov, who folded the pages and marked important passages. These precious books eventually became part of Aqseleu Seidimbek's collection. In the 1990s, however, because of financial difficulties and the need to arrange his son's wedding, he was forced to sell these books. They were sold for a large sum of money, but he had no other choice. Losing such priceless books and materials affected him deeply. It is said that he became ill and was bedridden, unable to bear the loss of his treasured collection. Aqseleu Seidimbek was truly one of our most respected and noble figures.
