✨This is my recipe for Apple Cider Donuts. They’re soft, delicious and so easy to make with a warm apple cider flavor and a sweet cinnamon sugar coating. The perfect cozy fall treat!✨ ~Apple Cider Reduction • 300 g apple cider ~Donut Dough ( Makes: 12–14 medium donuts) • 350 g all-purpose flour • 55 g granulated sugar • 35 g brown sugar • 1½ tsp baking powder • ¼ tsp baking soda • ¾ tsp salt • 1½ tsp ground cinnamon • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg • ¼ tsp ground allspice • 20 g unsalted butter, melted • 45 g neutral oil • 1 large egg • 1 egg yolk • 45 g plain Greek yogurt • 35 g unsweetened 100% apple purée • 130 g reduced apple cider ~For Frying • Avocado oil or other neutral oil, as needed ~Cinnamon Sugar • 400 g granulated sugar • 2–3 tsp ground cinnamon ~Instructions 1. Reduce the cider. Pour 300 g of apple cider into a small saucepan. Simmer over medium heat until reduced to 130 g. Let it cool completely before using. 2. Mix the dry ingredients. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice. 3. Mix the wet ingredients. In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, oil, egg, egg yolk, Greek yogurt, apple purée, and cooled reduced apple cider. 4. Make the dough. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix just until a soft dough forms. Do not overmix. The dough should be soft and slightly sticky. 5. Chill the dough. Cover and refrigerate for 30–45 minutes, or until firm enough to handle easily. 6. Roll and cut. Lightly flour your work surface and rolling pin. Roll the dough to approximately ½ inch (1.3 cm) thick. Cut into donuts using a donut cutter or two round cutters. 7. Prepare the cinnamon sugar. In a shallow bowl, combine the granulated sugar and cinnamon. 8. Fry the donuts. Heat the oil to approximately 350°F (175°C). Fry the donuts in batches until golden brown, turning once so they cook evenly. Avoid overcrowding the pot. 9. Coat the donuts. Drain briefly on a wire rack or paper towels, then toss the warm donuts in the cinnamon sugar until evenly coated. #donuts #applecider #fallbaking #EasyRecipe #CapCut
