That carpet cleaner and pod was very effective! Glad you could help him anyway, he is probably extremely uncomfortable outside his «cave» and could better cope there even if it was stressful.

He's a "Hoarder" most of them are grumpy or get aggressive when it comes to their stuff. They are emotionally attached to all the stuff & trash they collected so cleaning gives them anxiety & a sense of "loosing control". Very sad but true. When I was a teenager I saw a guy on tv that was hoarding his dogs hair. Literal clumps of hair in every corner of the house. Saved it in pillow cases & bags. His dog was a senior and the thought of loosing him made him d*pressed so he started collecting it. Very sad.
